Bio

Rev. Anna Flowers is an experienced leader who builds and revitalizes organizations that further love, justice, and wholeness. She has transformed a declining church, raised millions of dollars, put together long-term strategies that ensure financial and missional sustainability, spearheaded creative partnerships between the church, NGOs, and government funding, and built up and shepherded teams of people - both staff and volunteers. Rev. Flowers is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ who is devoted to revitalizing and shepherding faith communities that are effective at changing people’s lives for the better.

Rev. Flowers is a member of the United Church of Christ's Next Generation Leadership Initiative (NGLI), a select 10-year leadership development program. She has been a recipient of the prestigious Lilly Endowment's Clergy Renewal Program Sabbatical Grant (2022) as well as the Luther Seminary Compelling Preaching Program, funded by the Lilly Endowment (2025). She has been minister of United Church in Walpole since 2016.

Rev. Flowers was ordained into ministry on January 24th, 2016 at Kirkwood United Church of Christ in Atlanta, GA. She graduated with her Masters in Divinity in May of 2015 from Emory's Candler School of Theology, where she studied as a Robert W. Woodruff Scholar. Before answering a call to ministry and going to seminary, Anna was a corporate fundraiser for Points of Light Institute in Atlanta, GA. She is also a graduate of the University of Chicago, where she served as a Student Marshal for the university. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa society.
